Building a SQL 2005 Database on Windows 2003

At this point SQL is installed; however, it is most likely out of date. Next we will download and install service pack 3.

Double click on SP3 installer and press Next

Accept license agreement

Check all and press Next

Select instance and press next

Check boxes if you want to report errors to Microsoft (or not)

If SQL is running you will have to kill it before continuing. Use this screen to kill running processes. In this case we have none so we will just continue.

Press Install

Press OK to reboot

Press Next

Press Next

Uncheck the User Provisioning tool checkbox and press Finish

Open SQL Server Manager

Begin managing your database
